Xavier Theatre & Film is currently accepting submissions

for a Catholic Playwright Virtual Performance Grant.  

 

Xavier Theatre & Film is accepting submissions for a Catholic Playwright Virtual Performance Grant. 

 

A $1500 grant will be given to an American Catholic playwright to support the development of a new play in progress culminating in a virtual performance.

 

Entries are due by March 15, 2021.  The grant winner will be announced on April 10, 2021.  A virtual performance of the play will be held within 2 months of receiving the grant.  A portion of the grant should be used for equitable stipends for director and actor.  Xavier Theatre may also able to provide limited production and publicity assistance.

Submission Guidelines

​

  • Your play must not include material that you do not have permission to use.

  • Your play must not be previously published.

  • Your play must not have been previously produced.

  • Do not submit a play that is incomplete.

  • Plays may be submitted to other award programs simultaneously.

  • Plays must be full-length. This means more than 60 pages.
